2011 Coaches

Head Coach Jeremy Whitt is the Head Coach of the Swimming & Diving program at College Park High School. Over the past 2 years, their team has produced a State Champion in 2 events and this year, the boys team had their best State Championship meet in school history, taking 5th place at the State Championships in Austin. In addition to coaching he also teaches Mathematics at College Park.

He began swimming in North Alabama at the age of 5. Over the course of the next 13 years, he earned many State titles, competed in meets in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and competed in southeastern championships. After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy for 4 years. Upon returning home from the military, he began swimming with a Master's program for 2 years before he started coaching the summer league program he used to swim for. When he took over the program it didn't have many swimmers and turned that program into a year round team increasing the team size by over 100 swimmers. He enrolled in the University of Alabama and began working as the Assistant coach of the Crimson Tide Aquatics club program for the next 4 years producing many State champions and Southeastern Champions. He graduated from Alabama with a Master's degree in Mathematics Education and took his current position at College Park.

He is looking forward to working with a summer league program again and working with younger children to teach them the joy of swimming. His goal for this season is to create a positive and fun team moral while teaching the finer, quality techniques of each stroke. He is sure that this year will be a very productive year with this program as he works with the children and teens from the Sharks to help them be the best swimmers that they can be while showing how much fun this sport can be.
